A Lively Chat In The Cemetery

By

Paul Auster, the best-selling novelist whose works have been referenced in video games and turned into graphic novels, will be taking part in a discussion/Q and A about his latest novel, Sunset Park, at Green-Wood Cemetery on Saturday. While a cemetery may seem like a morbid venue for a writer to discuss his accomplishments, the setting is one that actually helped inspire the author’s latest book. “I had no idea (Green-Wood was) . . . one of the most remarkable places in all of New York City,” Auster, a longtime Brooklyn resident, has said. (And he’s right!) Following the Q and A, Auster will lead a trolley tour of some of his favorite spots in the cemetery. It’s $15 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund and $20 for non-members.
