Think you can really spin a good yarn? Maybe it’s time to put your raconteur skills to the test at The Moth’s StorySLAM at Southpaw on Monday night. If you aren’t familiar with the SLAM, it’s a storytelling competition that has a pretty intense following in several cities across the country. The concept is simple: the stage is open to anyone with a true and entertaining tale that relates to the show’s theme, which in this case is “reunion.” Nervous? Check out The Moth’s website for tips on how to best prepare or, alternatively, opt for the no-pressure approach and just show up ready to listen. Tickets are $8 and although doors open at 7:30, arrive at least an hour ahead of time to ensure admission.
