Cooking Collectively


One of our best discoveries in recent years is, the ever-useful community cooking website curated by Brooklyn-based experts in eats, Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs. Every week for an entire year, home cooks across the country competed in recipe contests for particular categories of food (like “Your Best Seafood Pasta” or “Your Best Holiday Roast”) and the Food52 team tested the recipes and selected the finalists. Each week’s winning recipes, which were ultimately chosen by the online community, were then compiled into The Food52 Cookbook: 140 Winning Recipes from Exceptional Home Cooks, which will be celebrated at a free book party this Thursday at powerHouse Arena.
