Despite having some of the best stand-up and variety comedy shows in the city, Brooklyn still has little claim in New York’s massive improv scene. Haphazard Stance, a monthly event at Pacific Standard, aims to change that. Resident group The Mondays invite two guest groups for every performance and get their long-form game faces on: this month’s guests are PIG (Pretty Improv Girls) and The Mannequin Room. And in case you’re remembering a traumatizing undergrad improv experience you were subjected to, take comfort in the fact that all groups are hand-picked, legit and trained by improv power houses like UCB and The Pit.
