On Friday night, there are two spots to hit for cool, Brooklyn-made gifts. Brooklyn Collective is hosting their monthly showcase of new artisan and design goods in their Columbia Street storefront, and this month’s installment, from 6-10pm, brings over 40 new, locally made collections including Kookla makeup (whose rouge is handmade with organic pink rose petals!), handmade silk & cotton pajamas from Brooklyn Haus, and whimsical illustrations from The Royal Creature. And in Greenpoint, MCMC Fragrances (whose Dalaga fragrance is featured in our sampler!) is holding a holiday party/sale with its design-mates at the Dobbin Mews, 50-52 Dobbin Street, between Norman and Nassau Aves., 5-9pm and again on Saturday 12-4pm. You’ll find a ton of cool jewelry from Odette, Honey & White, and Fay Andrada, plus those gorgeous perfumed lockets that MCMC is debuting this season.
