Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo Goes Solo At Glasslands

The future of Sonic Youth may be uncertain following the announcement of indie rock super couple Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore’s recent break-up, but in the midst of it all Sonic Youth’s other guitarist and singer, Lee Ranaldo, has started his own project. The often more quiet singer of the three has an album coming out on Matador Records in March, called “Between The Times & The Tides,” and is bringing some of the material to Glasslands this Friday. Stepping away from his usual comfort zone of noise and two other singers to work with, Ranaldo takes the lead and offers concertgoers the chance to see something they never have before – a full set of Lee Ranaldo songs!
