Get Dumbstruck with A Dum Dum Girl

By

After several sold-out shows through the Bowery coterie of venues, Dee Dee of the Dum Dum Girls ventures to Glasslands for a solo-acoustic set all by her lonesome. It promises to be a much more intimate affair (with similarly-vibed acoustic solo openers like Brandon Welchez of Crocodiles) than what fans or the curious but uninitiated have been able to get from the musician since Pitchfork declared her band “unfailingly hip.” And in all honestly, if the Dum Dum star keeps rising, this might be one of the few such events to come. Tickets are $10 in advance–snap them up before this show sells out like the others. Need further persuading? That Welchez guy is Dee Dee’s real-life husband, and more than half her songs are written about him. The show will set the stage for an alt-rock husband-wife set, heartfelt and unplugged, but more importantly– good.
