Dinner and a Dance Party

By

The Manhattan Inn, the well-crafted bar run by the owners of Glasslands, has two distinct personalities. We know it for its tamer side—its interesting menu, strong cocktails and piano bar nights, particularly keyboard karaoke with Joe McGinty. But on Saturday nights it turns into a full-on, free dance party with resident DJs from three local electro pop bands: Jimmy Giannopoulos of Pretty Good Dance Moves, Leanne Macomber of Neon Indian, and Eric Feigenbaum of Ego Puppets, collectively known as Romantically Uninvolved, and this New Year’s you can experience both sides of the bar/restaurant—a three-course meal with a glass of champagne at a reasonable $40 between 6 and 10pm before Romantically Uninvolved takes over at 11. If you don’t want to stuff your belly before shaking your booty, just arrive early to secure a spot on the intimate dance floor.
