This Week: Benefit for Jonathan Toubin

By

The music community has been rallying to help DJ Jonathan Toubin since he was struck by a car in a Portland, OR hotel room in December. All around the country, artists are putting together benefit shows and raising money to help the DJ out via the I Heart JT website.

Thursday night, there will be a benefit show in Toubin’s honor at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (66 North 6th Street). Proceeds will go to help the DJ out with medical bills and other needs.

Thursday’s show has a pretty intense roster of acts, plus there will be raffle prizes, so don’t miss out. Chain and the Gang, Nicole Atkins, Eleanor Friedburger, Shilpa Ray, and several other acts are on the bill. So even if you aren’t familiar with Toubin’s DJing or need incentive beyond helping the guy out, the line-up for this gig is pretty incredible and worth forking over the money to get in the door.

Tickets to the show are $20 in advance or $25 on the night of. Doors open at 6:30 and the music starts at 7:30.
