Trolling through Brooklyn neighborhood news this morning I noticed the following headline: Gerritsen Beach is Burning. No, these aren’t 70s style urban blight fires brought on by the recession. They’re more like West Coast style wildfires started by careless campers, or, as the comments on this post would have you believe, local kids with battitudes and access to matches.
Five fires in the past few days–at least that downpour this morning was good for something.
