Because I’m lucky enough to live within walking distance of both Union Hall and the Bell House, I have seen comedian Eugene Mirman perform about eight times in the past year, and his act somehow manages to never get old. On Thursday, his weekly comedy show, Pretty Good Friends, returns to the Williamsburg Waterfront with none other than comedy legend Bobcat Goldthwait! Let’s just say that Bobcat doesn’t frequent the NYC standup circuit these days, so this is an exciting development. The awesome lineup will be rounded out by local heroes Kristen Schaal (soon to no longer be so local) and Kurt Braunohler, along with a few other surprises, plus a musical performance by OK Go. Oh, and by the way, all of this is totally, 100% free! Be there or miss what will likely be the comedy event of the summer. –K.H.
