If the State of the Union Address was the best part of your January, then this Thursday at Congregation Beth Elohim will be the highlight of your February (take that, overrated Valentine’s Day and Hallmark schmaltz). Not only will Jodi Kantor (one of the youngest New York Times section editors in history and arguably the foremost Obama expert in the world) be there discussing her bestselling debut The Obamas, but Jonathan Safran Foer (author of Eating Animals and Everything is Illuminated, and a CBE member himself) will be there too, interviewing her about her book and the Obamas. Doors open at 7pm and the whole event is free, though you must RSVP since spaces have been filling up quickly.
