Usually when we hear someone going on about how great it is to be single, we can’t help but think–if you think it’s that great, you wouldn’t have to say it. But this Tuesday, at powerHouse Arena, N+1 presents three writers who really do love shouting about being single. The event is called “Singles Going Steady” (which just makes us think of this awesome Buzzcocks compilation) and the writers are Eric Klineberg (Going Solo), Kate Bolick (who wrote “All The Single Ladies,” an Atlantic cover story about marriage and society that drew over a million readers and scored Bolick a book deal), and Daniel Smith (Muses, Madmen, and Prophets). So whether you’re single and loving it (or hating it)–or you’re just curious–get over to powerHouse to hear about what 1 in every 7 Americans are doing as you read this, going solo. The event is free and there will be drinks, but make sure to RSVP as the turnout is expected to be huge.
