On March 11, one year ago, Japan was hit with its most powerful earthquake on record–also one of the five most powerful earthquakes in recorded history. The results of the earthquake and the tsunami that followed were terrifying, and the death toll hit 15,850. Sunrise Fest–An All Day Benefit For Japan’s 3.11 Disaster, presented by Stairway to the Dream, will feature charity vendors, bands, artists, dancers, kids’ performers, a magician and more (over 20 performances total), at Public Assembly. Show some love for Japan, which still hasn’t fully recovered from the disaster. For anyone who can’t make it out, the event will be live on USTREAM. Admission is $5-$10, children under 15 get in free to the all ages, all-day event.
