Sunday’s tasting will be nothing like this.
From time to time I moonlight at Vine Wine in Williamsburg (being the co-owner of a small media company is immensely satisfying to the soul, less so to the wallet; also, I really like wine). I’m working this Sunday, and it just so happens that Kyle MacLachlan will also be there, hosting a tasting of his Washington State wines, Pursued by Bear (a Cabernet Sauvignon) and Baby Bear (a Syrah).
Having once dressed up as Ronette Pulaski for a Twin Peaks party, I will admit that MacLachlan and Agent Dale Cooper are one and the same in my mind and it will be all I can do to not quiz him about the Black Lodge, WHAT that shadow object is that floats by while he’s talking the The Man from Another Place and his general thoughts on pie.
Oh, and his wines, made by Dunham Cellars in Walla Walla, Washington, not too far from where MacLachlan grew up in Yakima, are actually very good. See you there? He’ll be pouring from 3 to 6pm.
