You know that Brooklyn has always been home to a bustling, dynamic and avant-garde music and art scene, but have you ever experienced a journey through past and present all in one night? Brooklyn Village, a new multimedia collaboration from the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Roulette Theater, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, aims to connect a diverse group of artists from Aaron Copland to Beethoven to Sufjan Stevens. In addition to classics, the program includes world premieres of new work by David T. Little, Matthew Mehlan and Sarah Kirkland Snider. The show is being performed at 7:30pm this Saturday and Sunday at Roulette, and $25 tickets can be purchased here.
