A Folly to Miss It

Dancers, and sideshows, and painted ladies, oh my! Perhaps, like us, your heart hearkens back to the golden age of vaudeville, and its glittering whirligig of high/low culture. Nearly every form of entertainment we love today—stand-up comedy, burlesque, musical theater–has its roots in vaudeville, so it makes sense that contemporary performers love it as much as we do. So much, in fact, that Galapagos Art Space is debuting The Waterfront Follies, their world premiere tribute to all things vaudeville (with some updated twists) this Friday night. With performances from musicians, dancing troupes, acrobats, and Burlesque star Trixie Little, it’s better than a circus, more varied than a concert, and chock full of old-timey charm. Even better? Tickets are only $20 and available here!
