5th Ave in Park Slope is the O.G. of quality Brooklyn dining, with restaurants like al di là among the first to bring fine dining to the borough. Tonight, some of the best and brightest will be appearing at the annual Taste of 5th Avenue, taking place at the Grand Prospect Hall. Just $35 ($20 of which goes to your choice of local nonprofits) gets you music, dancing, complimentary wine and beer, and tastes from a number of the drag’s top restaurants, like al di là, Blue Ribbon, Palo Santo, and the new location of Dizzy’s Diner on 5th Ave. Perhaps most notably, the event also provides a sneak peek of one of the most anticipated new joints in the nabe, Dale Talde’s Pork Slope, which is bringing porky snacks and pitchers of beer to the late-night Slope scene.
