Brooklyn’s greatest outdoor concert series—Celebrate Brooklyn at Prospect Park—is almost upon us, and this year’s benefit concerts rock. Tickets for Wilco, with Lee Fields & the Expressions July 23 and the Lee Ranaldo Band (of Sonic Youth fame) July 24, go on sale this Friday at noon, and tickets for the other stellar shows–which help make the free concerts free!–are already on sale. 30 Rock writer and Community star Donald Glover brings his electronic/hip-hop act Childish Gambino to the bandshell June 26 with Danny Brown & Schoolboy Q; Brooklyn’s own Dirty Projectors perform July 10 with Wye Oak & Purity Ring; booty-shaking Hot Chip play July 18 with Gang Gang Dance and M. Ward closes out the season August 7 with Yo La Tengo. Don’t wait, Sigur Ros is already sold out, and the others will go quickly too!
