Ch-Check It Out: Midwood Mural Pays Tribute to MCA

By

Last week, music fans, artists and pretty much everyone in New York City–including The Daily Show, the Mets and Senator Chuck Schumer–mourned when Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, a.k.a. MCA, passed away at 47. Well, one group of street artists didn’t waste any time getting this tribute up.

The mural is in MCA’s neighborhood, Midwood; it sits atop 430 Avenue P. You can see it from the F train, especially if you go to the Manhattan-bound platform on the Avenue P stop.
