This Thursday marks the first of four Brooklyn Brewery beer gardens at the Brooklyn Historical Society’s amazing landmark building. Designed by architect George Post, it was built in 1881 and remains one of Brooklyn’s most beautiful and celebrated structures. On the last Thursday of every month, from now through August, hang out on Historical Society’s patio, while throwing back some Brooklyn Brewery beers and enjoying a live performance from a local Brooklyn band. This week, folk act The Tres Amigos will play a set of eclectic tunes incorporating elements of bluegrass, jazz, honky-tonk and mariachi. Admission for is free and beer tickets are only $5. Sigmund’s Pretzels will also be available for purchase.
