On Sunday, June 24, you can watch This American Life’s Ira Glass work his irresistible, geeky charm in person when he hosts the 7th Annual Write-A-Thon. The event will benefit the NY Writers Coalition, which is celebrating 10 years of leading writing workshops in underserved communities throughout the city. From 10:30am to 6pm at the Mark Morris Dance Center, participants of all genres and levels of experience are invited to devote a day to their craft, attend free inspiring workshops, compete for prizes, and commune with their fellow writers, all while raising funds for NYWC along the same lines as a walk-a-thon.
