Kid-Friendly: The New Antic

By

If you always avoid the Atlantic Antic because you’re afraid of the hordes–or always go because you love the music, food and festivities, head to Atlantic Avenue this Saturday for The Atlantic Avenue Extravaganza. From 1 to 5pm along Atlantic from 4th Ave to the BQE, the new Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District has lined up a day of tastings, deals, games, live performances and much, much more.  Annie’s Blue Ribbon is discounting up to 50%, A Cook’s Companion is sharpening knives at $4 per, and Mini Max Toys & Cuts will handing out balloons and offering face painting with purchases. The Soul Spot is dishing out free tastings from their soul food menu (including mac and cheese!) and Hopeland is passing out free crostini, and at Donna DaVine they’re holding a wine tasting from 2-4pm, where you can grab a bottle for later. Amidst all the shopping and strolling you’ll see performances from the LAVA Acrobats, The Brooklyn Steppers, Circus Amok Stilts and many more.  Visit The Atlantic Avenue BID for the list of participating shops and performers.
