It may have felt like summer outside for the past few weeks, but it’s never officially summer until the solstice arrives—which just so happens to be today. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate the occasion, the North Brooklyn Boat Club‘s got your back with their first annual Summer Solstice Party at the Broadway Stages Boatyard. There will be games, food, drinks, dancing, amazing waterfront views and more. The event is a “friend raiser” with all proceeds benefiting the volunteer-run organization which has been working hard to connect Brooklynites to their waterways and get a boathouse built so we can enjoy the water that surrounds us.
