BAM’s Big Screenings

By

The NY premiere of Mike Birbiglia’s Park Slope-set comedy, Sleepwalk With Me, kicks off an incredible installment of BAMcinemaFest this year, which runs tonight through July 1. There’s an even wider array of features from the international film festival circuit, Brooklyn-made films, programming for kids and kids at heart (like Take Me to the Balloony Bin!) and new this year, a lounge where you can down $3 beers, play ping pong, and hear music before or after screenings like The Patron SaintsMelanie Shatzky and Brian M. Cassidy’s harrowing trip to nursing-home hell, or their follow-up, Francine,  starring Melissa Leo from The Fighter; the true-crime thriller of a man posing as a missing child (The Imposter), or the hi-def digital restoration of Roberto Rossellini’s 1952, long-lost comedic gem, The Machine That Kills Bad People. Get tickets to individual films in advance, or buy a badge that will get you into everything, even sold-out screenings (just select Festival Ticket here). And if you entered our ticket giveaways, read the last line of this post to see if you won!
