Heat getting you down? Sick to death of your summer wardrobe? Well, we’ve still got a ways to go until parka and hot toddy season, but Dekalb Market is giving you a pretty good preview of what’s to come with Xmas in August, taking place from noon to 6pm this Saturday. Because the market is being pushed out of its space next month (boo!), they’re taking the opportunity to have a proper Christmas party while they still can. There will be tinsel, eggnog, a cookie bakeoff, an ugly sweater photo booth with Santa, a mistletoe kissing booth, and live music to get you in the holiday spirit. In addition, the vendors at the market will be raffling off free prizes all day and offering samples and deals on some of their popular wares, which means you’ll have some extra money to throw in the donation box going to the Food Bank for NYC. After all, ‘tis the season for giving, even if it’s 80 degrees out!
