No Barrier to Good Times

By

From boozy play readings to cooking classes and more, the good people at 61 Local are always hosting superfun events. This Saturday, they’re letting Barrier Brewing Co. take over all 14 of 61 Local’s taps, bringing some of their most popular ales as well as their faves from other local breweries along with them. In honor of the auspicious occasion, they’ve even brewed a specialty beer just for Saturday called “Le Pete,” described as a “smoked Belgian wheat ale” that sounds both delicious and confusing—suffice to say that we’re intrigued. Finally, the hands-on portion of the evening (besides the hands-on-your-pints bit) starts at 6pm, when master cooper Joe O’Sullivan will be reconditioning an oak barrel to inaugurate Barrier’s new barrel-aging program. As always, the good vibes and demos are free, and the potables reasonably priced.
