Invisible Brain Protection, Sort Of

By

Have you seen this “invisible bike helmet”? The hövding was designed by two Swedish designers who hated wearing “mushroom head” plastic helmets. These ladies loved the feeling of wind in their hair, but also wanted to protect their brains from injury in the event of a bike accident. They spent years researching the physics of bike accidents and head injuries, and their ideas were solid enough to land them $10 million in start-up cash.

Now, personally, I don’t think this robot neckerchief situation is any cooler really than a Belle Helmet, but then I am a nerd who always wears a helmet. Also, the vding costs $600. But seriously guys? Wear a helmet. So many bike-induced brain injuries are preventable with a helmet. Don’t you love your brain?
