A Shucking Good Time

The drought that wreaked havoc on the country’s crops made enjoying an ear of corn this summer feel almost like a privilege instead of a rite of backyard BBQs. In other words, you may be hankering for more of this quintessential summer side, and on Sunday, the Kings County Corn Bowl should satisfy that craving and then some. At T.B.D. from 2 to 5pm, you can try 12 different corn dishes by 12 chefs vying for the title of Corn King or Queen in this cookoff/harvest festival with live music from the Sundelles, a Cornhole Tournament, photobooth, and a raffle with sweet prizes. Tickets are $15, and lest you feel any lingering guilt, proceeds from the event benefit the Food Bank for New York City.
