Let’s look on the bright side of the end of summer–it’ll be months before needing to bare your bathing suit bod again. Take advantage by hitting up The Brooklyn Local this Saturday for a taste of some of the best food that the borough has to offer. The second annual artisanal open-air market will feature gourmet and specialty food items from a list of 75 of everyone’s favorite local vendors.  Tickets to the market only are $10, but you can pay extra for admission to a Tasting Tent with food from 15 stellar Brooklyn restaurants or a Happy Hour curated by Edible Brooklyn. Musical performances and a robust list of kids’ activities mean that the day will be fun for the whole family. Best of all, proceeds will go to City Harvest, a cause that every foodie can get behind.
