Monkeein’ Around

By

What do Jack Nicholson, The Monkees and Kurt Loder have in common? Find out this Thursday night at Night of the Living Head, a celebration and screening of the ’60s psychedelic flick, Head at The Bell House. The film, starring made-for-TV band The Monkees and featuring an appearance from Frank Zappa, was directed by Jack Nicholson (what, who were you expecting, Antonioni?), and is one the strangest musical comedies ever. Following the film will be a panel moderated by Kurt Loder (yes, that Kurt Loder), featuring Monkees historian Eric Lefcowitz (yes, there’s a Monkees historian), Rolling Stone‘s Rob Sheffield and author and podcast host Julie Klausner. Drop your LSD ahead of time and get ready for a trippy time. Tickets are $15.
