If the fall flavor of that pumpkin spice latte just isn’t cutting the mustard, then the 20th Annual Chile Pepper Fiesta at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens should kick it up a notch—or twenty. In addition to hot sauces, salsas, and all kinds of peppers foreign and familiar available from the chile pepper farm stand, there will also be spicy pickles, chile-spiked chocolate from Brooklyn artisans, and all different types of spicy music, with performers hailing everywhere from Bulgaria to Africa.
