There are more Octoberfest events this month than you can shake a Bavarian pretzel stick at, but if you’re looking for one that’s less giant beer-gardeny and more alternative, then the place to hit this week is The Richardson for Brooklyn Brewery’s Rocktoberfest. In addition to getting a free Meat Hook brat included with every $5 Brooklyn Brew purchase (while supplies last, and seriously, could a better fall drink/dinner combo be had?), BK Brewer Al Duvall will be breaking out his banjo at 3pm, which will be followed by a special bourbon barrel ghost bottle tasting with brewmaster Garrett Oliver. Get there early and make sure you don’t miss out on any part of this nontraditional twist on one of the best traditional fests.
