A Homegrown Roundtable for Tonight’s Debate

By

After watching Joe Biden bitch slap Congressman Paul Ryan last Thursday, I can’t wait to see the President duke it out with Mitt tonight. And of all the places to watch the second presidential debate, the Brooklyn Terrace Rooftop Lounge in the Aloft Hotel downtown sounds like the most fun. The night begins with comedian Joyelle Nicole moderating a panel comprised of political comic W. Kamau Bell of FX’s “Totally Biased,” City Council member Letitia James, and conservative pundit Brandon Brice. Afterward they’ll discuss the debate, which sounds far more lively than refreshing your twitter feed to gauge the nation’s reaction.

Doors open at 7, the discussion starts at 8, and the showdown airs at 9pm.

The free event is organized by the folks at Afropunk, and you can RSVP at rsvp@afropunk.com. The Brooklyn Terrace Rooftop Lounge is located at 216-228 Duffield Street. More info here.
