We got this tip via Twitter from Christine Viola (@EAPChristine): To find stations with gas, type your address into this Wright Express Fuel Price Mapping site–which truckers presumably use for the cheapest, nearest gas prices–and sort the “Transaction Time” column by the most recent date. Those are the stations with gas (and likely long lines, too).
Many Hess stations are on the map, and at least 3 other drivers in our Twitterverse told us they found gas at Hess stations around Brooklyn–a good sign that the map is accurate.
