A Most Unusual House of Blues

By

Rock and roll wouldn’t sound the way it does without Danny Kalb, Steve Katz and Roy Blumenfeld. The three blues musicians were Greenwich Village fixtures in the 60s, influencing everyone from Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton to Jimi Hendrix. And their band, the Blues Project, changed music forever with their psychedelic stylings. This Saturday they’ll reunite in one of the most amazing concert spaces in New York City, the historic chapel at Green-Wood Cemetery. This is a rare chance to see three legendary musicians in concert together, and one of the coolest things you can do this weekend. There are two shows, one at 7:30pm the other at 9:30pm, and tickets are $30 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund, $35 for non-members. There will be a cash bar for libations. Save the movies for another weekend, this weekend, rock out at the cemetery.
