The Bushwick Book Club is taking a special trip to Park Slope this Thursday to celebrate one of the greatest writers to ever live in New York City, Edgar Allen Poe. Poe’s stories will be revisited in the form of song at Union Hall, as bands pay tribute to the author by playing pieces inspired by stories like “The Raven,” “The Black Cat, and of course, “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Performers include Kung Fu CrimewaveJonathan Mann (who writes a new song every day), The Amazing Amy and more. Let it Poe! is $5 if you buy your tickets in advance, or $7 at the door.
