Winter Warmers

By

Winter chill getting you down? Warm yourself up inside and out, and get some new factoids for your next cocktail party, at a Kings County Distillery tour this Saturday. The distillery is the oldest one in the city, having been founded in 2010 after the once-restrictive laws on distilling had been relaxed, and is located in the historic Navy Yard, a great place to check out if you haven’t been. $8 gets you a look around their “Boozeum,” filled with relics and info from New York’s history of distilling pre-Prohibition, as well as a tour of the distillery itself. The tour ends with sampling of a variety of their whiskies, including moonshine, bourbon, and a fantastic chocolate whiskey featuring Mast Brothers’ husks.
