Roots Round Table

By

It’s been 35 years since PBS aired Roots, one of the most widely watched and talked about events in television history, and its influence on pop culture and racial discourse in this country is still acutely felt today. In honor of Black History Month, the current vice president of PBS programming will moderate a discussion about the ground-breaking miniseries and its continuing impact on films like Django Unchained and Lincoln at the Museum of the Moving Image with a panel of stars from the miniseries, including Louis Gossett, Jr., Ben Vereen, LeVar Burton, and Leslie Uggams at 7pm. Tickets to Making Roots, and Making TV History are $15 and should be purchased in advance online.
