Frequent Tip Sheet readers are well acquainted with our love for Sycamore Bar, a flowershop/bar on the stretch of Cortelyou Road that competes with just about any other couple of blocks in the city in terms of great restaurants and bars. Tuesday’s mezcal tasting is the second of Sycamore’s four-part Winter Spirits Tasting Series and provides the opportunity to learn about tequila’s increasingly popular and more sippable cousin from two guest distillers, El Buho and Fidencio. Tickets are $25 and can be reserved here, and snacks will be provided. As luck would have it, if you find yourself still hungry (or you need to act fast to stave off a hangover), you are just a few steps away from some of our favorite dinner spots, like The Farm on Adderley, Purple Yam, and the Castello Plan.
