Here’s the premise of Funny Story, a monthly event we’ve been putting on at Brooklyn Brewery in collaboration with comedian Tom Shillue: we line up a variety of weird and wonderful folks to tell true stories. No theme, no rules (aside from the truthiness part), they just have to be funny. You show up at the Brewery, drink some beers and laugh your ass off. So far it’s proven to be a winning formula, and this month is shaping up to be the best yet. Storytellers include chef and author Eddie Huang, music writer and advice columnist extraordinaire Judy McGuire, Gavin McInnes, Bobby Tisdale, Giulia Rozzi and maybe even some surprise guests. Tickets are $10 and they get you a beer as well as all the giggles you can muster. Doors at 8, stories start at 8:30.
