Getting bummed out that this winter just won’t stop? Take a trip down to Southwest Louisiana (via Columbia Street) this weekend. FreeTown Produce is throwing a three-day food and music festival at Jalopy. Each day features a mix of classes, including Cajun cooking classes taught by Toby Rodriguez; finger-picking banjo lessons; and a songwriting seminar. The nights are dedicated to Cajun blackpot suppers (think gumbo), square dancing, swing, and jams with the musicians. Day passes are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or just head over for the bands and dinner.
