TMI, Parents

By

The infiltration of baby photos, placenta pills, projectile poop and other unseemly kid commentary on Facebook did not go unnoticed by writer Blair Koenig, the Park Slope woman who started STFU, Parents in 2009 to lampoon the most ridiculous examples of TMI. The blog now receives over 10,000 visits A DAY and has spawned a hilarious, cringe-inducing book,  STFU, Parents: The Jaw-Dropping, Self-Indulgent, and Occasionally Rage-Inducing World of Parent Oversharejust published this week. Whether you are happily childless, entertaining the thought of breeding or often post about the minutiae of your child’s life, Koenig’s book is a fun read that will curb your oversharing tendencies. Tonight, special guests including Eliot Glazer and Judy McGuire will relate their insights on these oversharing parents at Housing Works Bookstore during Koenig’s “Book Shower.” The doors open at 6:30pm for free beermosas and baby shower games for a chance to win a copy of the book. RSVP here.
