Fresh off a riveting set of shows at Austin’s SXSW, Metz embarked on a North American tour that hits Brooklyn’s Shea Stadium this Tuesday for an all-ages show. (Even though they have a show booked at Bowery Ballroom the following evening, a band called Metz could not resist playing a club called Shea Stadium.) The Sub-Pop band pays homage to bands like Nation of Ulysses, Jesus Lizard, Mudhoney and Nirvana, using distortion as an instrument and screams for melodies. In other words, you better pack some earplugs, and buy your tickets fast!
