Listening to Beach Fossils, the brainchild of Brooklyn’s Dustin Payseur, is the closest thing you’ll get to sticking your toes in the sand for now. His light-hearted rock lyrics are like sunshine on a soundstage, so consider starting you weekend out right by making your way to Manhattan and catching his gig at Cake Shop as part of the Downtown Music Festival.
