It’s been raining cats and dogs for the past few days, a seemingly fitting forecast for the city’s largest pet adoption event, taking place this weekend. If you’re looking for a furry companion, consider adopting, for free, one of the homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens looking for loving, forever homes this Saturday and Sunday as part of Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days being hosted by the Alliance for NYC Animals. There are two major adoption sites, one in New Lots at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center and another in Windsor Terrace at Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
