The annual Come Out & Play festival is a great excuse to get outside and indulge in a friendly game of dodgeball or a number of other outdoor activities most of us haven’t played since middle school. Before the games begin on July 12 with an After Dark event, featuring night games like zombie tag on the streets around the South Street Seaport, the festival is hosting a special event for teens at the YMCA Park Slope Armory. The Come Out & Play Jam gives kids ages 13-18 a free chance to work with professional game designers to develop and showcase their own field games. Two games will be included in the fun at the festival’s field day next month on July 13 on Governors Island.
