The North Brooklyn Coalition Against Family Violence provides resources and assistance for victims of abuse, including children, and does community outreach to help educate about and prevent domestic violence. They also offer classes, counseling and other support for victims to move forward.
Sanctuary for Families offers victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking, and their children, a host of services from legal assistance to shelters and counseling.
The Central Brooklyn Domestic Violence Program is a collaboration between the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, and Brooklyn police precincts, working with other community-based programs to educate the community about domestic violence, help victims identify abuse and get help.

The Center Against Domestic Violence, the first publicly funded domestic violence shelter in New York State, offers support, shelter and education through counseling, safe houses, and school programs for teens.
Providence House, run by the Sisters of St. Joseph, is a network of shelters for homeless, abused and formerly incarcerated women and their children.
New Destiny Housing runs confidential emergency shelters for women and children, where occupants also receive counseling, help obtaining court and domestic violence documents, and help finding permanent housing. Their 24-hour helpline is 1-800-621-HOPE.
