Throwback Thursdays aren’t just an excuse to upload old pictures of yourself onto social media sites, though our news feeds thank you for it. It doesn’t get more old school than long-playing records, which is why Brooklyn Museum bringing back its dance party series with a night devoted to LPs is a throwback we can all get behind. DJ collective I Love Vinyl will be on the 1s and 2s from 7-10pm turning out tracks with that classic record crackle tonight in honor of the 65th anniversary of the LP’s introduction. Definitely bring your dancing shoes, but also bring some cash because there will be a record fair curated by the crew that includes albums from collectors like Turntable Lab, Brooklyn Bowl’s Collect-I-Bowl and Natasha Diggs, of Mobile Mondays. Tickets are free with museum admission.
