4Knots Landing

The Village Voice’s third annual 4Knots Music Festival storms into South Street Seaport again, taking over the lower Manhattan historic district with a loud and raucous 10-band line-up. The festival is stacked with indie-rock buzz bands, including Brooklyn’s  The Men and Parquet Courts, and is headlined by guitar virtuoso Kurt Vile and his band, the Violators. The festival kicks off at 1pm and rocks until 8pm, rain or shine. Hop on the subway or your trusty two-wheeler (there’s bike valet for festival attendees) and make your way to the seaport, or take advantage of the warm weather by catching some sun–and a welcome breeze–on the water taxi to Pier 17.
